About Us
The Art Department has four well equipped art studios, a screen print studio, a ceramic kiln and a superb gallery space. Art is taught to all year groups and at GCSE and A Level. At A Level there is the option to take both Fine Art and Art, Craft & Design.

Meet the team
Ms PinheyHead of ArtJoanna Pinhey graduated from her BA (Hons) degree in Fashion &Textiles in 2000. She then worked as a freelance designer/maker for four years before embarking on a PGCE. She has been teaching Art & Design fulltime since 2005.
Her specialist areas are fashion, textiles, mixed media, fine art and photography. [email protected] |
Mrs GreenwoodTeacher of artAmanda Greenwood has been teaching Art & Design since 1998 and graduated from a BA (Hons) degree in 3-D Design – specialising in Blown glass and ceramics, from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1996. She then became an Artist in Residence in North Wales 1996 – 1998 before becoming a full time teacher of Art & Design.

Mr WalkerTeacher of artPhil Walker studied a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre Design and graduated in 1984, he then became a Freelance Designer and Scenic Artist producing sets for the Theatre Royal and the West End. Following his PGCE he became a teacher in Art & Design and Technology in 1992. In 2015 Phil also started “Vintage Sign Writing”, his own company producing bespoke, hand painted signage and murals:
